I like the different types colors that are used. The cocktail is in focus. Most of them are playful and create a different mood. It isn’t just the cocktail there is a different element like the bottle, coffee beans, lime, berries, etc. The pictures aren’t plain, they actually make you want to taste the cocktail. They aren’t on a solid black or white background.
The reason I chose these photographers was because for the beauty I like how they got really close to their subject and because of the simplicity. I tried to keep most of the categories simple because I don’t like a cluttered portrait. I didn’t really understand the editorial photographs or many it’s just something that doesn’t interest me. For fashion, I wanted to go more towards a dramatic photograph but also simple. For this project I would like to get up close to my subject, simple background, not too much going on for beauty, and maybe a dramatic look for fashion. Natural light is also a good element and possibly convert some to black and white.
I like the idea that every photographer used. My favorite are Dina Belenko and the money rolled up from Sam Kaplan. They are simple and fun as well as pretty straight forward. I like the way the light is being used. The creativity that was put into each image. I also really like the Captain Morgan bottom. I like how the bottle is in the middle and a lot of little lights lighting it up.
I really like how the photographers used their creativity for creative food. They all stood out to me but my favorite is the Yin and Yang. The vegetables are funny something kids might like more. I like the colors that are used and how everything is put together. For ingredients I like the idea of the mushrooms. For prepared and styled food they all look really good and well composed. I would have to say, food as a product is my least favorite.
